Getting There

Road description: We drive directly up to the Parking Area at the “Krugmoar Hut” (this one is not Open anymore) or directly to the Old Alphouse Parking Area.

From here we take the big Forest Way up to the Old Alphouse. The street is practicable by car so You have to take care of the kids. But You can always go into the Forest an look out for Mushrooms or Berries. As soon as You reach the Plateau at the Old Alphouse you can have a Snack or eat something in the Inn. Together we take the way to the Summit Cross of the “Brandkogel”. Some of us walk up to it, the others enjoy the breathtaking view at the foot of the Summit cross and play on the Meadow.

Another way which is a little longer leads in the direction of “Salzstiegel to the Rappoldkogel”. The way leads You on a practicable way which goes through a thick high Mountain Wood. Here You can see a lot of things. One mushroom is growing next to the other one. There are also a lot of different Plants – You should bring a Plant book with You.

The third route leads You on the left side of the Old Alphouse on the “Wölkerkogel” to the really impressive “Marien’s Statue”. Nevertheless You can not reach this with the Wheelchair. But You can get to the Old Alphouse from the “Gaberl”. From the Parking Area th the Gaberl the marked Foodpath leads near to a Forest road through the Woods to the Old Alphouse. Unfortunately also this Way can be used with cars so You have to take care of the kids.
